S. 오즈맹(Steven Ozment)
예일대학교 사학과 교수 및 하버드대학교 사학과 교수를 역임하였고, 현재 하버드대학교 사학과 명예교수이다. 사회사적 접근과 분석을 통해 종교개혁은 물론 종교개혁기의 사회와 문화에 관한 탁월한 학문적 성과를 이룩한 세계적인 석학이다. The Age of Reform 1250-1550(1980)으로 필립 샤프(Phillip Shaff) 학술상을 수상하였다.
대표적인 저술로는 Mysticism and Dissent: Religious Ideology and Social Protest in the Sixteenth Century(1973), Reformation in the Cities: the appeal of Protestantism to sixteenth-century: Germany and Switzerland(1975), When Fathers Rules: Family Life in Reformation Europe(1983), Protestantism: the Birth of a Revolution(1992, 『프로테스탄티즘: 혁명의 태동』), A Mighty Fortress: A New History of German People(2004) 등 다수가 있다.
