미래전략연구원 세계화연구위원. 현재 연세대학교 국제학대학원 교수로서, 미국 스탠퍼드대학교에서 논문 "Political Bargaining: Domestic Politics and International Economic Negotiations"로 정치경제학 박사학위를 취득했다. 전공분야는 정치경제학, 국제정치경제학, 국제협상론이며, 최근 연구논문으로는　"Strong Government and the Challenge of Democratic Governance"(2001),　"Political Culture and Legislative Gridlock: Politics of Economic Reform in Pre-crisis Korea"(2001), "Ending Economic Sanctions: Agent Veto and Corruption as Commitment Strategies"(2001), [강하지만 제한된 정부를 위한 정치개혁: 책임과 능력의 균형](2002) 등이 있다. 최근 저서로는 Economic Crisis and Structural Reforms in South Korea: Assessment and Implications(공저, 2000), {한국 경제개혁 사례연구}(공편저, 2002), {한국의 정치자금}(편저, 2002) 가 있다.
